Congratulations to Shiko Mawatu! A great artist who just keeps going.
Heri, where can I get this CD for radio play? I'm excited to promote Shiku in his efforts.

David,

I asked Shiko again today. It's a date; he will come to Ambiance Congo in Virginia. The CD was to be out in March, but we decided not to release it until the video clips are finished. I'll send you a copy as soon as I can. I know how valuable Radio promo is. Nnamdi Moweta (Afrodicia) played it in his show and hooked Shiko up with several gigs in the Los Angeles area. And the funny part is that he'll engage other freelancing guitarists to back him up by the names of Lokassa and Ngouma. The best news we got recently though is that Stern's Music (London) will take over the distribution of the CD.

All great news. Thanks.
I'll pm to you an email address and phone number. Ngouma Lokito has it already, if you or Shiko wants to ask him.

Not yet. Stern's UK is the contracted distributor. We are waiting for him to put it in his catalog within the next few days, then we'll put it in Amazon and iTunes.

Shiko Mawatu's Afrique song can also be heard in Fondation Mutombo Dikembe

I am very happy that Shiko is finally going places. He worked very hard and paid everything himself. Even George Bush mentioned Mutombo in his State of the Union Address.

He has one disadvantage though, he is not wearing sunglasses...

It is all about credibility. A person whose music has been handpicked to promote by the most credible Foundation in Congo is not interested in thuggish-sunglasses-pretense to be validated. The promotion is endorsed by four American presidents:
1. Jimmy Carter
2. George Bush Sr
3. Bill Clinton
4. George Bush Jr

They all helped to raise $19,000,000 and every time they come to the site to check for progress, yours truly's husband is serenading them! What can anyone say on Afromix to spoil that? It's time to swallow your hate folks, mama has won.

I was only joking Heri. In fact, I like the cover. It shows a musician making music, not someone posing as a star...
