After his last release I vowed never to buy another Bill Clinton cd but foolishly I did. I have been listening to this cd on and off for six weeks now and am not impressed by it. The cd starts off with Anthropologie in which Bill calls out some of the calls he did while with Werrason. The problem with this cd is (from my point of view) that there are too many songs which are easily forgotten.

The only songs which I liked a bit are Bulangeti whose melody seems to be going nowhere at first but later turns out to have some nice singing and melody. Surprisingly the West African sounding Sacrifice and Motema ya moto in which Bill for the first time uses a singing voice which pleases me, in all the other songs he sounds too harsh or screams too much, a matter of taste I realise but I didn't like it.

The title track Palpitation totale is just noise and Realité is Latin flavoured, that is all I can say about it. There is not one song which has a nice sebene or which has a melody that lingers. It is a mediocre cd and I think I am right because I have not read rave reviews anywhere or people going on about it for weeks on end. To the bottom of the pile I'm afraid.

I cannot be surprised by your personal opinion.Nowadays,it's like anyone that was once in Wenge MM is an enemy of Werrason's lovers.

I have had Palpitation Totalle for almost a month now since my good friend sent me a copy.It's one of my favourite releases this year and to be honest i even find it hotter than some of the releases we have from bigger artists.

It can only be wrong when you speak for all the Werrason fans but i accept your view if it's your personal one.Ferre,Bill and company are blamed for bringing Werrason down especially Bill!!!

.

I still a fan of JDT, FERRE, NDOMBE, and BILL

However, purchasing a CD is dependent on it being a good one. If I had sampled Eluka Makambo or Sens Interdit, I may not have bought the albums are less than 50% of the songs , IMO, are good

When Bill finds a decent singer and sticks to animation only, I would buy his CD.

If any of the above organise a concert, I will attend

My take::

Tho i have not really sampled Palpitation Totale in full unless the generique it self,, I can only say there has been no much originality from the young man. Its kind of hard to be s singer when u were/are an atalaku. His compositions in Le Maques a true example of what i am talking about as the songs were shouting ones and not singing. Bill has the Charisma to command a band even better than Ferre,, Fally,, JDT etc but the problem is he thinks he can not lead from the atalaku corner were he is more talented hence he has abondoned it to singing. The only thing that he should have done if i was his director or manager was to let his band members good on vocals to sing most of the lines and then when it comes to the sebene,, he then takes the floor just like he once did in WMM. Otherwise,, he will not make it especially outside Kin.

You've got some good points Alex but one thing though is that i don't agree when you say Bill has no single decent singer,he has about three good singers,it's unfortunate that i don't know their names.Like EMO has said,Bill should leave the singing to his boys and he should stick to Authoring,Directing and rapping in his music not singing,he can say a few things like Franco did or just the mabanga.
